Art Consultant/ Project Manager

Full-time position

Novo Arts Inc. is a multimedia provider working with clients in hospitality, corporate, healthcare and fine are consulting. We are committed to collaborating with our clients to select visual concepts that reflect their unique sensibility and identity. Our creative projects include but are not limited to Fine Art, Wallworks, Artistic surfacing, Graphic Design, Ambient Videos, Art Leasing, Installation, Curatorial, Image bank/Licensing, Photography, Wallcoverings.

Novo Arts has a showroom in Union Square in Manhattan, a 7500 sq. ft. art studio in Chelsea and representatives around the globe.

Responsibilities:
- develop new clientele and foster existing client relations
- manage projects from beginning to end, including drafting proposals, creating spreadsheets, selecting images, contacting vendors, and overseeing production and delivery
- assist with event planning

Qualifications:
- proficient in Microsoft Office, FileMaker Pro, Adobe Creative Suite
- must be detail oriented and be able to multi-task
- must have excellent communication skills
- art history/ studio art background preferred
- experience with business administrative processes and proposal development a plus

Commitment: 5 days a week (M-F), hours between 9am-5pm. Must be willing to work late upon request along with occasional weekends to meet project deadlines.

Graphic Design Intern

Novo Arts is seeking graphic design interns for the Spring and Summer semesters. Applicants must be proficient in PhotoShop. Experience working with Mac operating systems is helpful. Experience with Illustrator is a plus, but not required. Advanced skills for these programs can be taught.

We are looking for applicants who can commit for 3-4 months. Part time or full time. Course credit can be arranged.

Marketing Intern

The Marketing intern will function as a Marketing Manager on a day-to-day basis, reporting to the Marketing Director. The Marketing Intern will streamline and expand its marketing program. In addition to this, the Intern will be exposed to project management, customer research, design, cross-functional team meetings (e.g. with Operations, Sales) and other key marketing activities.

At the end of the Internship the intern will have gained real-world marketing experience and provided value to Novo Arts Inc. This program is a key recruiting vehicle for the Marketing team at Novo Arts Inc. A successful Internship may lead to a longer-term opportunity with the company.

Key Responsibilities

Business Analysis:
- Analyzes consumer and market trends to address business opportunities and issues
- Performs business analysis to drive the performance of the company
- Develops ongoing recommendations for marketing mix elements and other business-building initiatives
- Leads market and competitive analyses, leveraging syndicated and proprietary data
- Develops presentations for internal/external meetings

Advertising and Promotion:
- Participates in agency meetings and brand presentations
- Participates in creative evaluation, ensuring the messaging developed is both on strategy for the brand and motivating for the consumer
- Participates in media planning with agency to reach target consumers in both a strategic and cost efficient manner
- Develops communication for field sales to inform them of all marketing-related programming

Innovation Management:
- Participates in the product development process, identifying consumer insight, creating a project proposition, and assessing market potential
- Partners with other functional areas to support development efforts
- Identifies opportunities for growth and cost improvement


Business Management Intern

Seeking well presented articulate individual with a business background with an interest in the arts. Must have experience with project management, estimator, manager business aspects (human resources) as well as being a good business partner.

Must be detail oriented with good writing, great communication and diplomatic skills. Experience with business administrative processes along with proposal development.

Computer skills would include: excel, file maker pro, adobe creative suite. Background with interior or graphic design is a bonus.

Photography Intern

Novo Arts seeks photography student to do onsite and location creative photography. Our firm has it's own image bank, and intern would be helping to expand the image bank collection.

Internship is unpaid, but we can offer course credit if needed.
